WHAT DO WE DO:
Empowering Musicians, founded in March 2026 by Lori Mangan, was created to empower musicians who play music in Florida by bringing together an unlimited network of resources including marketing and promotion, business skills support, and advocacy for fair market pay. There are never any required costs, and the network supports itself by each member providing knowledge, resources, and/or their talent to support other members of the network whenever possible.
WHO WE ARE:
Empowering Musicians is a grassroots organization created by Lori Mangan, a local treasure coast community member with a background as a local and national small business owner, education and experience in journalism, advertising, social work & mental health, and an absolute LOVE for LIVE MUSIC. Lori created this mission-driven organization to help live music in Florida not just survive — but THRIVE.
ABOUT JOINING THE EMPOWERING MUSICIANS NETWORK:
Joining Empowering Musicians is free, and you don’t need to play an instrument to be part of this community. Simply follow our Facebook page, stay connected online to access the network when you need it, and help give support to other musicians when you can. WHY HELP MUSICIANS:
Our musicians pour their hearts into their craft. Your donation for this event goes directly to support promoting local Florida musicians with a multitude of resources including promotion of Florida music events, connecting musicians with trusted resources while on tour including lodging and vehicle maintenance & repair, basic everyday resources, music production resources, advocacy for fair pay, business skills, and more.
WHAT MUSICIANS CAN EXPECT:
Empowering Musicians exists to help artists at every level connect, grow, and succeed. It also brings awareness to the Florida live music industry to keep live music alive in Florida. Our events not only promote local musicians but also create space for musicians to build their own network, show off their talents and get scouted, and access information about both music-related and basic resources.
